She is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Kinesio Taping Practitioner and Pilates Instructor, and uses SpiderTech Taping. She is also a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Graston Technique Specialist and Pilates Instructor. She holds LSVT BIG, FMS and SFMA Level 1 certifications as well. Dr. Wu also specializes in vertigo and temporomandibular joint disorders.

The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) officially wrapped up its 2018 season with a grand finale partnership with King of the Court in Huntington Beach, California on September 22-23, 2016.

AVP returns to NYC for the 2018 professional beach volleyball season.

Dr. Karena Wu is a physiotherapist who has offices in NYC and Mumbai, India. She has worked with the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) since the early 2000’s doing volunteer work in the medical tent. Dr. Wu is now the Medical Director of the AVP and can be found at many of the AVP events working with a team of healthcare practitioners. It is a multi-disciplinary medical tent that includes physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, athletic trainers, massage therapists and acupuncturist.
